EDM Division
A-Systems EDM (Electronic Design and Manufacturing Division) has grown from its founding in 1975 as a one man Engineering Company to today's staff and modern facilities offering "turn-key" electronic design, software programing, and manufacturing services. We take ideas or designs and produce a final product including sourcing of parts and materials, in-process inspection and test, final performance testing, packing and shipment. Our products range from simple printed circuit board subassemblies to power supplies, digital displays and microprocessor based controls. Our customers include Systems Integrators, Machine Manufacturers, Medical Departments and Field Support Facilities to mention a few. We supply products and services to customers around the world.

We can work to your drawings or develop a drawing package for you. We can "clone" an existing design which is no longer available. We apply innovative concepts in the application of techniques and technology to meet your requirements. Many of our designs utilize microprocessors, ASICs, FPGAs and other programmable integrated circuits incorporating the latest technologies to create products not having built-in obsolescence. A new version of the product can be created by simply revising the software to offer new functions or improved performance. Often, we utilize standard personal computers to accomplish complex tasks by combining off-the-shelf hardware and software with our custom hardware and software for cost effective solutions. This saves time in bringing a new product to market and permits easily updating the product as computer technology advances. |

Our Engineers develop hardware, firmware, and software designs for new products. Our Manufacturing personnel utilize our fully integrated MRP system to manufacture high quality products utilizing both through-hole and SMT technologies. Our modern 11,000 square foot facility with convenient access to I-64 and the Charlottesville airport permits rapid delivery of products. Our Technicians test every product before shipment to insure performance. They also provide Field Support for those products which need installation. Some of our customers have established A-Systems as a repair depot for their complex products. We offer our warranty on all products. |

We have produced Digital Heading Displays for ships, Power Supplies for RADAR Systems, Controls for Lense Grinding Machines, Mobile Radio Control Heads, Computer Printers, Battery Chargers, LASER Bore Sight Alignment Instruments, Audio Alarm Systems, Garage Door Openers, Gyrocompass Power Supplies, LASER Target Scoring Systems, Low Noise/Low Drift Biomedical Signal Amplifiers, Bowling Lane Controls, Blood Flow Monitors, Electric Vehicle Controls, X-Ray Equipment Controls, Office Equipment Controls, Railroad Safety Systems Heart Rate Monitors, and more. Some of our products are state-of-the-art designs which need a quick prototype. Some are high volume production runs which continue for years and a few are one piece orders for a specific requirement.
